Marcel & Karina Hall
Marcel and Karina Hall serve as Family Ministry Leaders at the Orange County Church of Christ. They are both graduates of the University of Southern California, where they met as members of the student ministry.
Marcel and Karina were married in 2005. In 2006, they began serving as Youth Ministry Leaders for the LA Church of Christ. They have since continued to work with the youth, serving as Youth Ministers and Campus Ministry Leaders before moving to Orange County to lead our local Youth and Family Ministry. They also have the opportunity to serve on the Board of the non-profit organization, HOPE worldwide, Southern California. They have two daughters, Sanaiya and Desiree, in addition to a baby boy named Dominique. They love USC Football, BBQ, parties and spending time with family.
Mary Mains leads the Single Women in the South Edge Ministry. She oversees the Kingdom Kids ministry for the Orange County Church as well and serves as Administrator to Shining Stars Christian Preschool. Mary became a Christian as a student at the University of Cincinnati in 1978. Mary and her late husband, Kevin, led churches throughout the Midwest before moving to Southern California. She has served in the ministry for the past 33 years with the last 13 years being in Orange County. Mary has two married children, and three grand children.
Jaeho & Misook Park
Jaeho and Misook Park lead the International Ministry. Jaeho is also one of the elders in the church. Jaeho became a Christian as a student at University of Rhode Island in 1989. He went out with the mission team to Asia in the same year. There he met Misook and they worked together in the mission field for 14 years.
They have served in the ministry together since 1991. In 2003 he moved with his family to Orange County. Their two children, Jiwoo and Jiah have both made Jesus the Lord of their life. Their favorite passage of the Bible is Romans 8:28.
Martin & Tina Chairez
Martin and Tina have been Christians for 20 years. They met in college and have been married for 15 years. They have two fun-loving sons Ezra (9) and Noah Marley (7).
Martin is an evangelist. He holds a Master’s in Religious Education in Missional Leadership from Rochester University. Tina is a Women’s Ministry Leader and has a BA in Communication Culture and Public Affairs from Cal State Long Beach.
The Chairez have 15 years of experience in the full-time ministry. Over the years, they have served in ministries such as Youth and Family, Campus, Singles, and Spanish Speaking Ministry in the South and Coastal LA region of the Los Angeles Church of Christ. In the last year and a half they have lived in San Diego where Martin served as the Bi-National Programs Director for HOPE worldwide. Martin and Tina are passionate about their vocation of ministry leadership and building community.
They are inspired to join the leadership team of the Orange County Church of Christ. In the North Orange County Church of Christ, Martin will serve as an Evangelist and the HOPE worldwide Tijuana Programs Director. Tina will serve as a Women’s Ministry Leader.
Steve & Charley Stevenson
Steve & Charley Stevenson lead the OC Central Ministry. They met shortly after college and have been married since 1996. They have served in the ministry together since 1999 in the Kansas’ Lawrence Church, the Greater Houston Church, the Greater Long Beach Church, the New York City Church and the Hampton Roads Church.
They moved back in the summer of 2017 to serve here in the OC Church of Christ. They enjoy spending time with their young adult children, Summer and Soaren, who also moved back to California with them. Steve and Charley both have a passion for inspiring people to see God’s vision for their lives.
Ryan & Virginia Weekley
Ryan and Virginia currently lead our Family Ministry in Central Orange County. They are very honored and humbled to serve in this capacity, as both became disciples during their time in student ministries. Ryan is from San Diego, CA and moved to OC after graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in Social Work. Virginia is from San Dimas and is a graduate of UC Irvine with a degree in Psychology and Social Behavior.
Ryan and Virginia were married in June 2012 and led the Teen Ministry in Orange County from 2011-2015 before transitioning to the Campus Ministry in the summer of 2015. They have a beautiful daughter born in August 2018!
